The McKinley Sports Team, in collaboration with Gateway Engineers, provided full design and construction observation services for the renovation of the Oak Glen High School baseball and softball facilities for Hancock County Schools. The scope of work included upgrades to essential athletic infrastructure and site systems to better serve student-athletes and the school community.
The project featured updates to construction documents for a range of field and support area improvements, including dugout renovations, press boxes, backstop systems, and new perimeter chain-link fencing. Modifications to the existing stormwater management plan and permitting documentation were also included to meet updated project needs and regulatory requirements.
With the site survey and soil review completed prior to design, the McKinley Sports Team focused on efficient implementation and oversight during construction. The team provided weekly construction observation visits and participated in regular on-site meetings to ensure quality, safety, and adherence to design intent throughout the roughly three-month construction period.
